WESTBOROUGH – A Millbury man lured his employee to an empty house on Zara Drive last Tuesday where he raped the woman before she escaped, authorities said.

Police arrested Fabio DeOliveira, 37, after the woman reported the sexual assault on Friday, according to a police report filed in Westborough District Court on Monday.

The woman reported the assault in Marlborough District Court, who contacted Westborough Police. She told police that she was a house cleaner who worked for a small company DeOliveira owns. On Tuesday, around 11 a.m., DeOliveira told her to meet him at a home on Zara Drive, police wrote in the report.

When the woman arrived, she discovered no one lived in the house and it was under construction. DeOliveira met her inside, and attacked her, the woman told police.

“DeOliveira pushed (the victim) up against a wall, held her there against her will, pulled her pants down to her thighs and slid his hands inside her underwear ,” police wrote in the report.

The woman kept getting away. DeOliveira told her “if she stopped fighting she would enjoy it,” police wrote.

At one point, DeOliveira let the woman go. He told her to go into another room and he pulled his pants down and waited for her. Instead, the woman ran from the home and drove off.

Southborough Police arrested DeOliveira on Friday at 2 p.m. at a house he was cleaning. He refused to speak to police.

Police charged DeOliveira, of 29 Martin St., with rape.

At his Westborough District Court arraignment on Monday, DeOliveira was ordered held on $7,500 bail. He is due back in court on May 15 for a pretrial conference.
