A Notre Dame College student who stole women’s underwear and other items has been sentenced to 10 days in jail.

According to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, 22-year-old David Zinram of Westlake was found in possession of more than 656 items, including women’s underwear, sportswear and jewelry.

The total value of the items stolen totaled $11,818.

The items had been taken from laundry rooms and residence halls at Notre Dame College and from homes in Westlake and South Euclid.

Zinram hid the items in the ceiling of his suite at Notre Dame.

He originally was charged with second-degree felony burglary, two counts of fourth-degree felony receiving stolen property and misdemeanor theft. He pleaded guilty in December to one count of theft and two counts of receiving stolen property.

In addition to the jail time, Zinram was sentenced to two years of community control, no contact with victims, 100 hours of community service, weekly counseling and court costs.
