The CU underwear/201701/115900.html">Boulder underwear/201611/18658.html">Police Department announced in a Thursday news release that the burglaries reported in several campus residence halls involved the theft of women's underwear from laundry rooms.

The department reported Wednesday that it was investigating a series of burglaries and thefts in Aden, Brackett, Cockerell and Crosman residence halls in recent weeks.

The suspected burglar is described as a white male in his 20s, with brown hair and brown beard wearing glasses, according to the release. The suspect is also observed wearing a black baseball cap on multiple occasions. The suspect has been seen entering the residence halls between 2 and 4 a.m. on each of the incidents.

Police also stated in the release that a woman reported a man may have taken photos or video of a female student who was in the shower, but it is not clear the suspect in the underwear theft is involved in this incident.

CU Boulder police officers and community safety officials will increase regular patrols inside and outside campus buildings throughout the night, on weekends and during holidays, the release states.

Anyone with information about the case or the pictured individual is asked to call CUPD at 303-492-6666. Those who wish to remain anonymous may contact Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or through the Crime Stoppers website.
